Fairy Days
Maple has been asking for fairy wings for weeks, so we finally pulled the tutus out of the dress-up bin, tied on flower crowns, and headed to the backyard just as the sun was starting to slip behind the trees.
She twirled and ran and waved her little wand at everything she could find — the grass, the fence, Ruby's boots. Ruby, being the best big sister she can be, played along with every single spell, pretending to be turned into a frog at least four times.
The light was gold, the boots were muddy, and the giggles didn't stop until the sun was gone. Tiny wings, big magic. My favorite helper and her favorite person, making memories together.
